Pandora’s Jar - A Myth Retold

Image
Pandora was amazed at the presents she had been given by the gods, they were all so great. After thanking them time after time, she took her gifts and wandered about in the woods, only happy for her new possessions, beauty and skill. As she roamed about, she felt puzzled inside. She sat near a large, tall tree, her jar in hand and thought. “What do the gods expect of me now” She wondered, captured by utter silence and stillness. The freshness of the morning breeze still clinging to the atmosphere, she couldn’t help but notice the strange feeling of contentedness it brought to her. She breathed it all in, it was all good. “The gods love me; they like to give great things to me. All I have to do is take them” She resolved her thinking and rose to her feet, hugging the vase she carried in her arms, a gift from the gods which she was instructed never to open. She began walking toward a path surrounded by tall, thin trees and looked around. She was alone, no one was in sight. She hadn’t see

My First Love

Image
Oh, Did I love it (Acuña)? Of Course I did!!!!!!!!!! I can't stop thinking about it, it's almost like when you think you've fallen in love with some one and you cant stop thinking about them and feel butterflies in your stomach every time you do! Except this time I KNOW I HAVE FALLEN IN LOVE WITH MY SAVIOUR, MY GOD, MY KING MY FIRST LOVE, my passion, my reason for living, my all in all. It's like I can't explain the way I feel about Him (God), I cannot go a day without living in Him, He drives me, He inspires me. He is the ONLY ONE. He's my love and I CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT HIM! Perhaps, you know what I'm talking about, and hopefully you have experienced something like it because IT ROCKS! I will post one of my Autobiographies for ya'll 2 read and enjoy!!! God Bless You

I(L) don't(L) speak(O) English(O) -HA This time on Saturday we went to the other church (the smaller one) and made a fun program with the kids, they loved it. We sang songs and later we divided the kids into small groups and assigned leaders who read bible stories to the children, they did a good job (everyone did). later they had some snacks and we played a lot with the kids. We also provided different projects for them to do such as bracelets, face paint (I did some face paint), coloring projects, animal cup things (I helped in this w/Mat), butterfly projects and so on. We played soccer with the kids, spun 'em around, carried 'em around, chased 'em around and played with the Frisbee and a big yellow beach ball! 2 children in my group came to Christ and enjoyed themselves as they prayed to the Almighty God, their Father. I feel that I always leave a piece of my heart with those children. Every time we go, my heart rips and a longing desire to stay there with them, bur

Happy Valentines Day!

Well, school on Monday was not that bad and everything seems to be getting back to normal (hopefully, that means good news!). It seems I am back to the stressfully long days I spent doing homework. I'm serous folks, if God was not in my life, I don't know how I'd end up. My life would be a complete mess! I am on the verge of explosion. I cannot get a full picture of why I can’t seem to be able to finish my homework, but it almost seems like I have my finger right on it and yet I don’t know what I’m talking about! –HAHA (ok, it wasn’t funny) Well, anyway, despite my clumsiness and weakened mind I am determined to be victorious over the battle I am facing. I am convinced that the only way out of high school is getting good grades, so I will quit writing blog posts (only for a little bit), and start doing more homework!! –But be not saddened, there is still hope, I shalln’t abandon thee, I shall post my Autobiographies (almost every week)! It gladdens me to be able to comfort

Finally Back!

Hello everybody! My daddy got on the bus Friday evening and arrived at Queretaro (Mexico) on Saturday at 4:00 p.m. We left Mexico on Sunday at noon and arrived in Austin today at 8:00 in the morning! (I arrived at some cold temperatures!) I actually wrote the above yesterday but got lazy and saved it so I could finish writing today! My future plans are to visit Mexico during the summer and Christmas. On 2008 I am planning on moving to Mexico (during the summer) and I will be working (it's more like volunteering) as a teacher, I think I will be teaching to kinder gardeners mostly! I want to finish all my high school first and then after a year as a teacher the people who sent me there to teach will help me get a scholarship and will finish my college fun in Mexico. Hopefully this year will go fast so that I can quickly get my high school over with and move to Mexico as soon as possible!! -HA Remember to finish your shoolwork and keep warm! -God Bless you all!
